NDIS Mobile Therapy Services
As a mobile therapy service based out of Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast, I come to see you or someone you know at their home or anywhere they spend their time, such as a day care center, school, workplace, recreational center, etc. Occupational therapy is most effective when we can see the way a person functions in their own environment.
I work with children and adults who are self or plan managed NDIS participants and require occupational therapy services to help them to achieve their goals.
I use the information gathered and clinical reasoning to create a meaningful assessment, report, recommendations and if required, a therapy intervention plan.
Recommendations or intervention plans are tailored to the individual, such as:
-
Environmental changes to optimise safety and independence through:
-
Minor home modifications
-
Set-up or layout of an environment
-
-
Improving independence and increasing safety to complete tasks through use of assistive technology (mobility equipment, bathroom aids, kitchen items, hand splints, etc)
-
Working on specific activities through goal-directed therapy in 1:1 sessions or 'Home Programs', using best-practice interventions
-
Information sessions or team meetings with carer's, family members, or educators so they can support goals and understand the participant's needs
-
Provision of supporting documentation for SDA and/or SIL/ILO requests

Telehealth Therapy Services
Telehealth is supported as an effective means to provide a variety of occupational therapy services. Whether telehealth is used for assessment, therapy, meetings or parental/carer education sessions, it can provide a more flexible, convenient and cost-effective solution.
